About Us

Support environmental awareness, and connect people with nature in meaningful ways.

What is ParkConnect?

ParkConnect is a European Erasmus+ project that transforms parks into spaces for learning, exploration, and community connection. By combining interactive mapping, gamified treasure hunts, and environmental education, the project empowers young people to reconnect with nature in fun and meaningful ways. Active across five countries, ParkConnect promotes sustainability, inclusion, and digital innovation—making parks more accessible, engaging, and alive for everyone.

Objectives & Mission

  1. Transform parks into inclusive learning spaces
Promote public parks as hubs for non-formal education, creativity, and environmental awareness—especially for young people.

  2. Develop a digital map of European parks
Create an interactive platform featuring at least 36 parks across Europe, showcasing their educational, ecological, and cultural value.

  3. Design and launch a gamified treasure hunt app
Encourage exploration and learning in parks through digital treasure hunts that highlight biodiversity, history, and local stories.

  4. Promote sustainability and community engagement
Involve youth, local stakeholders, and municipalities in co-creating activities that support ecological awareness and park stewardship.

  5. Support youth participation and inclusion
Engage NEETs (young people not in education, employment, or training) and youth workers in green, digital, and social upskilling initiatives.

  6. Create a shared European framework
Establish common criteria and tools for identifying, analyzing, and promoting educational parks across different cultural and geographic contexts.

Digital Map

A DIGITAL MAP OF EUROPEAN PARKS TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY COHESION

We’re creating a Digital Map of European Parks—an interactive tool designed to share knowledge and promote environmental awareness among youth, NGOs, local authorities, park managers, and all EU citizens.

From national and regional reserves to urban and rural green spaces, the map will showcase the rich biodiversity and sustainability efforts across Europe’s most valuable natural areas.

Stay tuned as we bring this digital vision to life—connecting communities, inspiring action, and empowering the next generation of environmental stewards!
